The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Memorial Union renovation committee invited Nan Crowe, founder and owner of TileArt LLC, to design and install a ‘destination restroom’ in the lower level of the West Wing, located by Wheelhouse Studios. Here is the Artist’s Statement describing the story behind the mosaics in the Artful Restroom:
Tile Art Design provided design services and materials for the edo stone fountain, natural stone wabi sinks, pebble and glass mosaics, as well as commercial tile for walls and floors.
In 2004, Tile Art Design collaborated with Food Fight Restaurant Group CEO, Monty Schiro, to design the bar countertop and pebble mosaic at the front entry.
MONONA TERRACE COMMUNITY AND CONVENTION CENTER
